The Department of Nuclear and Particle Physics organizes (under the auspices of the School of Physics), the

39th annual Conference of the Hellenic Society for the Study of High Energy Physics
"HEP 2022 - 39th Conference on Recent Developments in High Energy Physics and Cosmology"

which will take place in person, from Wednesday June 15, at 9am, till Saturday, June 18, 2022.

At the Conference, the latest results from experimental and theoretical reseach will be shown (e.g., about the latest measurement of the W mass and its theoretical implications, theoretical models on comsology, inflation and dark energy, as well as other theoretical work, epxerimental techniques and advances on the front of accelerators and detectors, from the current experiments and accelerators at CERN to the plans and the prospects for new accelerators and experiments).

The Hellenic Society for the Study of High Energy Physics (HSSHEP) was founded in 1975. The majority of the Greek scientists (both in Greece and abroad) working in this field are members of the Society. Its main objectives are to promote the scientific work of the Greek scientists and to inform the general public and the Greek state on matters concerning the subject of H.E.P.

The Society organises an annual Conference where the research activities (both experimental and theoretical) of its members are presented. Young Greek scientists are urged to participate.

Apart from the Greek HEP community, the conference attracts representatives from the most major HEP experiments, as well as from several leading theoretical groups.
