The Astronomical Observatory
Areas

The members of the Astrophysics, Astronomy and Mechanics department are accommodated in the Observatory building (Laboratory of Astronomy) and in the Faculty of Sciences building, 4th floor (Study of Mechanics).

 
" The 20 cm dioptric telescope.
Equipment

  • Dioptric 20 cm telescope, installed in the observatory building (6 m dome diameter ) equipped with Hα filter.
  • Radiotelescope with a 3 m diameter, installed in the observatory building, equipped with an 11 GHz amplifier and receptor.
  • Ascania type Iridium photometer, micrometer machine Zeiss BK 70 x 50.
  • Dark room for developing and printing film.
  • Computing Center: 4way Fermi GPU workstation, GRAPE-6/Pro, 4way Opteron cluster
