Once a month (to be exact, every 29.53 days!), when the Moon is between 4 and 8 days old, the Observatory of the University of Thessaloniki, opens its gates to the public. If the sky is clear, a series of observations of the Moon, the bright planets and several other astronomical objects, e.g. galaxies, stellar clusters, etc, can be marvelled through the 20-cm refractor of the Observatory.

The staff and post-graduate students will guide you to the splendors of the sky. Slide shows, movies and lectures often accompany the observations.
