Quantum anomalies, anomalous Z’ and the anomalous magnetic moment (g-2) of the muon

In this seminar, we will discuss quantum anomalies and their effects on model building. We will study an extension of the Standard Model by an (anomalous) Z’ boson and analyse some phenomenological implications. We will focus on the anomalous magnetic moment (g-2) of the muon. The seminar aspires to be comprehensible to physicists who do not specialize in High Energy Physics.
