The group is active in nuclear astrophysics, with an emphasis on neutron stars and the equation of state of nuclear matter. It studies the structure of finite nuclei and nuclear matter, taking into account many-body correlations through density matrices. It develops and applies methods of quantum information, entropy and complexity in classical and quantum systems. It exploits modern computational tools, such as machine learning and deep learning and extends research to interdisciplinary applications.
