Abstract: In this lecture on “Chaos and Its Applications in Secure Communications”, recent research developments at the Institute of Photonics, Electronics and Telecommunications of Riga Technical University, Latvia, will be presented. The talk will explore practical applications of nonlinear oscillators in chaos-based secure communication schemes, synchronization techniques, and secure wireless sensor networks. Results from prototype hardware systems, FPGA implementations, and power electronics will also be showcased. Participants will gain insights into how chaotic dynamics can enhance security, efficiency, and robustness in modern secure communication systems.
