The 4th International Workshop on "Nanosciences & Nanotechnologies" - NN07, 16-18 July 2007

and the Summer School on "Nanosciences & Nanotechnologies" (SS-NN07), 14-20 July 2007

are taking place at Aristotle University , Department of Physics, Thessaloniki - Greece

The SS-NN07, including the attendance in the NN07, will review the current state of knowledge in the field of Nanosciences & Nanotechnologies. It will include lectures on the current trends in the field of N&N and state-of-the-art techniques, as well as experimental demonstration in lab facilities.

The lectures will be given by distinguished scientists. We expect that SS-NN07could be a gate way for innovative high tech ideas coming from enthusiastic young researchers.

NN07 is the annual meeting of the front-line researchers, scientists, engineers and experts specialized in the field of N&N, and the leading Nanotechnology forum in the South European region that continues to build on the strong foundation created in 2003.

NN07 sessions will cover the most advanced topics and subjects in the multidisciplinary areas of:
a. Nanobiotechnology and Nanomedicine
b. Nanomaterials, Nanoengineering and Nanomechanics
c. Thin Films, Magnetic Materials and Spintronics
d. Flexible Organic Electronics & Nanoelectronics
e. Nanotechnology in Energy and Environment
f. Theoretical & Computational Modelling at the Nanoscale
g. Nanometrology, Instrumentation and Tools
h. Nanotechnology in Safety and Education
i. Commercializing Nanotechnology,
and will include invited keynotes and lectures from leading scientists and experts, oral and poster presentations, nanotechnology instrumentation exhibition and round tables.

Deadline for reduced registration fee: 17 June 2007

Deadline for paper submission: 16 July 2007
Selected papers presented in the NN07 will be published after peer-review in a Special Issue of the Journal "Materials Science and Engineering B" of Elsevier.
